ABRS is a functional service provider (FSP) supporting clinical research for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sponsors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit abrsolution.com (the “Site”), interact with our advertisements and lead forms on third-party platforms such as LinkedIn, or otherwise communicate with us in a business context.

For the personal information described in this policy, the data controller is Advanced BioResearch Solutions, Inc. Please read this policy carefully. By using the Site or submitting information to us, you acknowledge the practices described here.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to business-contact and website-visitor information we collect from prospects, clients, partners, job applicants, and visitors.

It does not apply to:

  • Clinical trial data. Personal data of clinical trial participants and subject-level clinical data that ABRS may process on behalf of a sponsor. In that context ABRS acts as a service provider / data processor to the sponsor, and such data is handled strictly in accordance with the applicable clinical trial protocols, informed consent documents, our contractual agreements with sponsors, and governing regulations (including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA where applicable, and applicable data protection laws such as the GDPR and the EU Clinical Trials Regulation). Questions about clinical trial data should be directed to the sponsor of the relevant study. Clinical trial data is also generally exempt from the CCPA/CPRA under California Civil Code § 1798.145.
  • Employee and contractor data, which is governed by our internal HR and personnel policies.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us directly, including when you complete a contact form, request information, submit a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form tied to one of our advertisements, subscribe to communications, or apply to join our team:

  • Name
  • Business (work) email address
  • Company or organization name
  • Job title or role
  • Telephone number
  • The content of any message, inquiry, or other information you choose to provide

Information collected automatically when you visit the Site:

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, referring URLs, and dates/times of access
  • Information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7)

Information from third parties, such as advertising and social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) when you engage with our ads or lead forms, and business-data providers used for marketing and verification.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data (such as health information) through the Site or our lead forms, and we ask that you not submit such information through them.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide the information or services you request
  • Establish, manage, and support business relationships with clients and partners
  • Send marketing and informational communications about ABRS services (where permitted, and subject to your right to opt out)
  • Operate, maintain, analyze, and improve the Site and our marketing, including measuring the performance of our advertising

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Visitors)

  • Advertising platforms such as LinkedIn, which provide lead-generation, conversion-measurement, and analytics services and process data according to their own privacy policies
  • Professional advisors such as auditors, legal counsel, and accountants
  • Authorities or third parties where required to comply with law, respond to legal process, or protect the rights, property, or safety of ABRS, our clients, or others
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets

6. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out request. If we later use advertising technologies that involve “sharing” of personal information, we will update this policy and provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” option.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 15. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and you may use an authorized agent.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies in the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for core Site functionality
  • Preferences — remember your settings
  • Analytics — measure traffic and Site performance
  • Marketing / advertising — support advertising and conversion measurement, used only if and when enabled

Where required by law (including for visitors in the EEA and UK), we obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can manage your choices through your browser settings and, where offered, our cookie preferences tool. Disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Our general criteria and default periods are:

  • Marketing and prospect contact data: retained for 24 months following your last engagement with us, unless you opt out sooner
  • Client / business-relationship data: retained for the duration of the relationship and for 6 years afterward to meet legal and accounting obligations
  • Website analytics / log data: retained for up to 14 months
  • Job-applicant data: retained for 12 months after a hiring decision unless a longer period is required or you consent

When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

9. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

ABRS is based in the United States. If you access the Site or provide information from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required for transfers of EEA, UK, or Swiss personal data, we implement appropriate safeguards, which may include the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / IDTA for UK data) and/or reliance on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where a recipient is certified. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguard by contacting us.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request portability of your information
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Opt out of marketing communications, and of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, at any time

EEA/UK residents may exercise rights under the GDPR and may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

California residents — see Section 6.

Other US state residents (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and others) may have similar rights under their state privacy laws; we honor applicable rights on the same intake described in Section 15.

12. Marketing Choices

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us directly. We may still send you non-promotional communications relating to an active business relationship.

13. Children’s Privacy

The Site and our services are directed to businesses and professionals and are not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
